Tinfoil. How often do you reuse it? Even if it see Tinfoil. How often do you reuse it? Even if it seems filthy, a quick dunk and wipe at the end of washing up will dissolve most food/stains. Then dry with a tea towel and it can be stored away for next time. I get at least 20 uses per sheet. When it’s done for good, give it a final clean and dry. Then scrunch into a ball - ideally with other foil - eg from chocolate bars 🍫 and pie packaging πŸ₯§. Then put in your kerbside recycling. At the back of the cupboard I found a bag of cacao At the back of the cupboard I found a bag of cacao butter- BBE 2016 🀭. It looked and smelled fine so I’ve made vegan chocs with it. I added lime zest and stem ginger and the end result is πŸ˜‹. Recipe below in case you want to try! πŸ«πŸ€ŽπŸ’š . . . Lime and ginger* vegan choc: . . -1 cup cacao butter buttons (ideally in date πŸ€“) -1/2 cup cacao powder -2 tablespoons of maple syrup -finely grated zest of 1 lime -a few cubes of stem ginger finely chopped *or anything else you fancy eg hazelnuts/orange zest/vanilla... . . . Melt the cacao butter in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Add the other ingredients and whisk well. Spoon the mix into moulds or the base of any silicone item you have eg loaf tin. Put in freezer for 30 mins. I loved having clear skies πŸ˜” Before the pandemic, the global aviation industry was releasing hundreds of millions of tonnes of carbon every year. Predictably, most airlines have been asking for government financial bailouts. Disappointingly, as announced in the UK last week, many airlines will benefit from the Bank of England’s Covid Rescue lending scheme by borrowing billions. Green conditions really need to be attached to this lending, such as: ❗️INTRODUCING❗️ * Tax on aviation fuel (currently zero in most countries) * A frequent flyer levy * A requirement to include international aviation in national carbon accounting so reporting figures are accurate * A requirement for airlines to provide transparent, accessible public data on carbon emissions 🚫 BANNING 🚫 * Carbon offsetting by airlines to reduce emissions * The use of older, more polluting planes (to stop airlines running them almost empty on cheaper fuel) * Further airport expansions (the recent rejection of plans to extend London Heathrow and Bristol Airport in the UK is welcomed) NOW is the time for meaningful change in this industry 🚫 ✈️ ⛔️ πŸ’¨ ❌ . . . . . #begreen #startsmall #greenlivingtips #sustainablelivingtips #saveyourplanet #ecofriendlyliving #gogreen #greentravel #netzero #nopollution #cleanair
